Marcos Siega is a Brazilian-American director, executive producer, and filmmaker whose work blends cinematic scale with intimate, grounded storytelling. Across more than two decades, he has shaped the look and feel of some of the most recognizable and influential series in television, including Dexter, YOU, The Following, The Vampire Diaries, Bad Monkey, The Waterfront, True Blood, and many more. He has also directed numerous pilots that sparked long-running hits across major networks and streaming platforms.

Siega’s feature film work includes: PRETTY PERSUASION, starring Evan Rachel Wood and Ron Livingston, which premiered in Dramatic Competition at the Sundance Film Festival and garnered critical attention for its sharp, provocative satire. He went on to direct CHAOS THEORY for Warner Bros., a character-driven comedy-drama starring Ryan Reynolds, Emily Mortimer, and Stuart Townsend; and UNDERCLASSMAN for Miramax, an action-comedy starring Nick Cannon and Roselyn Sánchez.

He first broke through in the world of music videos, where he directed some of the era’s most iconic visuals for artists such as Blink-182, Weezer, Papa Roach, System of a Down, The Crystal Method, and dozens more. That early work — kinetic, irreverent, and intensely visual — laid the foundation for a directing style defined by bold choices, emotional clarity, and an instinct for capturing character in motion.

In television, Siega is known for a precise and deeply collaborative approach that brings out the best in actors, writers, and crews. He has partnered with a wide range of top showrunners and creators, including Clyde Phillips, Kevin Williamson, Julie Plec, Greg Berlanti, Bryan Wynbrandt & Steven Lilien, Scott Reynolds, and many others, crafting series that balance tension, wit, and humanity. His pilots have established the visual language and tonal DNA for shows that went on to run for multiple seasons, and his episodes are frequently cited for their strong performances, visual ambition, and dynamic storytelling.
